Quality Horticulture's Price Guarantee Policy
Quality Horticulture offers the best market prices on all our products. If you find a lower price elsewhere, we'll match it. With pride in our industry and product lineup, you can count on us as your one-stop wholesale supplier.
What kind of proof do I require to get a price match?
We require that you provide us with a price quote, invoice, or advertised flyer. We also require that all of these items be dated as we will only price match current prices (within 10 business days).
Will you match manufacturer direct prices?
No, we will only match authorized distribution prices.
What if you match a price that I give you, and then after I have placed my order, I find yet another cheaper price?
The price match offer on your item expires after your order is shipped. Once your order is in transit the price will not be changed and this offer is no longer valid for that particular order.
Will you match prices from unauthorized dealers?
No. If an unauthorized dealer is selling products for less than Quality Horticulture, they do not have manufacturer support, warranty support, marketing materials, or original approved product.
How long do I have to get a price match from Quality Horticulture after I receive a price from another wholesaler?
The price match offer is valid for 5 business days after you have contacted us with your authorized price from another wholesaler.
Is the price match good on any product?
Yes, the price match guarantee includes all products. However, we will only match identical products (identical SKUs, product name, label, and manufacturer). We carry exclusive brands and although another company may make a similar product, the product we carry is different and as such we reserve the right to refuse to price match under these circumstances.
Do you match any price?
No, we only match competitor’s current valid pricing.
What if another wholesaler is having a sale? Will you also match the sale prices offered?
Yes, we will match sale-priced items only during the sale period and not past the expiry date. This excludes trade show specials, special booking events, liquidations, clearance sales, free or bonus offers, limited or minimum quantity offers, advertising errors, and close outs.
If another company has volume pricing will you price match include these too?
Yes, we will match all authorized volume pricing, as long as your order meets volume minimums.
Will you match an old price Quality Horticulture gave me last time?
No, we will only price match against competitor’s prices. If you have received a cheaper price from Quality Horticulture in the past and a manufacturer has since increased their prices to us, we will not price match an old Quality Horticulture price. Price matching will not be authorized on grand-fathered pricing.
Additional price matching terms and conditions:
- We reserve the right to refuse to price match any product.
- We only honor price matching on products that the competitor currently has in stock.
- We will not price match on bundles.
- We will only match the English label, identically coded, authentic manufacturer products
- All price quotes must be in CAD for Canadian customers and USD for USA customers.
- We will add freight charges to all price matches. Competitor’s freight charges must be included in your price quote. This will also protect you from unexpected freight fees and levies that may be charged.
- We reserve the right to correct and/or update the content in our catalogue at any time and without notice. In the event that there is a discrepancy, our “current system” pricing will be considered the “correct price”.
- The terms and conditions of the Price Match Guarantee are subject to change without notice.
Eco Fees for British Columbia and Quebec Customers
Eco-Fees for BC Customers
Quality Horticulture, in adherence to the British Columbia Recycling Regulation, aligns itself with Product Care’s BC LightRecycle program. The eco-fees associated with this program play a pivotal role in fostering sustainable practices and responsible waste management.
What Are Eco Fees?
Eco-fees are additional fees applied to certain products to help pay for the costs involved in properly recycling these products. As of October 1, 2020, Product Care’s BC LightRecycle program requires that eco-fees be applied to all new lamps, ballasts and fixtures. These fees will be subject to sales tax, as it is considered to be a part of the price of regulated products.
Why Does Quality Horticulture Charge Eco-Fees?
The British Columbia Recycling Regulation requires retailers, distributors, and manufacturers of all lamps, ballasts, and fixtures sold into the residential, commercial, and industrial sectors in BC to be part of an approved stewardship program, such as Product Care’s BC LightRecycle program. By being a member of Product Care and charging eco-fees we are able to comply with these regulations and fulfill our legal obligations.

Does Quality Horticulture Profit From Eco-Fees?
No. All eco-fees are paid to Product Care. We simply collect the fees on their behalf.
What Do Eco-Fees Pay For?
These fees will be used by Product Care, a non-profit industry association, to fund all program costs including the collection, transportation and recycling of end-of-life products to ensure all generators can recycle these products at the end of their life without charge, as required by the BC Recycling Regulation.

Additional details on eco-fees:
- Fees will be assessed on a per-unit basis except for category #8 (miniature bulb package), which will be applied on a per-package basis.
- Fixtures sold with an integrated ballast(s) will be charged a fixture fee and not a ballast fee.
- For details on the fees applied when multiple products are sold in one package please refer to the multipacks policy.
- For details on the fees applied to pre-program sales and contracts signed by members for the supply of program products before the start date of the program please refer to the presales and contracts policy.
- For details on the fees applied when lamps are sold integrated into fixtures please refer to the integrated lamps policy.
Eco-Fees for Québec Customers
Eco-fees for Québec customers are charged differently. As with eco-fees in the rest of the country, Quality Horticulture does not profit from eco-fees and simply collects them on behalf of Product Care.
